Dun Troddan Broch, Glenelg
Dun Troddan near Glenelg is one of a pair of well-preserved Iron Age brochs in the area, the impressive building is a fortified homestead, protecting its occupants and symbolising their ownership of surrounding farmland. Now in the care of the Historic Scotland, the brochs at Glenelg are significant archaeological examples of an ingenious native architectural design.
